Pattern is a procedurally generated exploration game about the process of making games. The core art, design, programming, and general dev was done by myself with some finishing assistance from Badru and a procedural soundtrack by Michael Bell.
The game was made primarily as a passion project over the course of a number of years and evolved a lot over that time. The narrative of the game came about after almost giving up on the dev because the game wasn’t turning out how I was excited about. I wrote a good portion of the game at a bus stop on my phone and the game kind of unlocked from there
